Sources and credits

Recovered from the archive, with the LinkedIn limitation stated plainly.

This is a static rebuild of revolutionanalytics.com, the site of Revolution Analytics — the commercial provider of open source R, founded in 2007 as REvolution Computing and acquired by Microsoft in 2015.

Note on the source. The LinkedIn page at linkedin.com/company/revolution_analytics was not reachable from this machine (Cloudflare returned 403), so the site was rebuilt from the company’s own archived website, which is the better source for a replica, plus the acquisition record.

Provenance

Where each part came from

  • The pages, navigation and copy — the archived 2014 site: home, products, Revolution R Enterprise, Revolution R Open, why Revolution Analytics, our customers, leadership and contact. Headings and paragraphs are transcribed.
  • The logo and the icon strips — the company’s own files from its theme and uploads folders.
  • The palette and type — the theme’s stylesheet: orange #F15D22, grey #6D6E71, light grey #E6E6E6; Rokkitt and Open Sans, self-hosted here.
  • The offices and phone number — the site footer: Mountain View, London and Singapore, with 1-855-GET-REVO.
  • Founding, funding, renaming and acquisition — the Wikipedia article on Revolution Analytics, which cites the 2009 funding round, the 2010 name change and the 2015 Microsoft agreement.

What changed

Rebuilt, and said so

  • Multi-page, by hand. The original was a Drupal site with a large resources library; this rebuild keeps the eight core pages and drops the webinar, whitepaper and training catalogue.
  • Customer logos are text. The logo files behind the customer wall could not be recovered from the archive, so the company names are set as text.
  • No leadership photographs. None were recoverable; the page lists names and roles.
  • The contact form is a replica and posts nowhere.
  • Orange text is darkened to #C4461A because #F15D22 on white measures 2.9:1; the brand orange is kept for rules, borders and fills.

What is not claimed

The gaps

  • No pricing was published on the site, and none appears here.
  • No current status is implied: the company was acquired in 2015, the R distribution was retired in 2021 and the package network in 2023.
  • No LinkedIn content is quoted, because the page could not be read.
  • No customer quotes are reproduced beyond the case-study titles the site itself listed.
